Frequently Asked Questions:

I. What is VR?

  • Q: What is Virtual Reality (VR)?

  • A: Virtual Reality (VR) is a technology that creates an immersive, computer-generated environment. When you wear a VR headset, it blocks out the real world and replaces it with a 3D world that you can explore and interact with. It's like actually stepping into a video game or a movie, instead of just watching it on a screen!

II. Our VR Experiences

  • Q: What kind of VR experiences does Game OVR - Ozarks VR offer?

  • A: We specialize in Free-Roam VR and Omni-Directional Treadmill based VR. Free-Roam allows you to move around freely in a 20’x20’ dedicated space while wearing a VR headset. This means you're not stuck in one spot – you can walk, run, dodge, and work together with your friends! Omni-Directional Treadmill based VR has alot of the same aspects as Free-Roam VR, but you are standing on a treadmill that you are connected to with a vertical robotic arm and chest harness, you can still run, jump, crouch and move in all directions, but you are in the comfort of our heated and cooled enclosed mobile VR Trailer.

  • Q: What kind of games can we play in VR?

  • A: We have a wide variety of exciting VR games, including action-packed adventures, thrilling zombie shooters, challenging escape rooms, and competitive multiplayer battles. There's something for everyone!

  • Q: How many people can play Free-Roam VR at the same time?

  • A: Our Free-Roam VR arena can accommodate up to 6 players simultaneously, making it perfect for groups of friends, families, and parties.

  • Q: Can we book a private Free-Roam VR session for our group?

  • A: Yes! We offer private sessions for groups of 4 or more players when located on the Bagnell Dam Strip. We also offer Free-Roam VR parties at the location of your choosing (some restrictions apply) which is great for birthday parties, bachelor parties, corporate events, or any special occasion.

III. Age & Safety

  • Q: Are there any age or height restrictions for VR?

  • A: We recommend it for ages 8 and up. Children under 8 may not fit the headsets and chest harness properly or fully understand the experience. A parent or guardian must be present for anyone under 18 to sign a waiver. All participants in Omni-Directional Treadmill based VR gaming must be 48” or taller and weigh at least 48 lbs. For Omni-Directional Treadmill based VR we cannot accommodate anyone who is taller than 6’6” due to safety concerns or weighing over 280lbs for equipment durability reasons. There is no max height or weight restriction for Free-Roam VR sessions.

  • Q: Is VR safe? Are there any health concerns?

  • A: VR is generally safe, but some people may experience motion sickness or dizziness. We use high-quality equipment and take precautions to minimize these effects. If you're prone to motion sickness, have a pre-existing medical condition, or have any concerns, please consult your doctor before playing. You can always take a break at any time during your session.

  • Q: If I need to take a break during my session, will I be refunded for that time?

  • A: No, your session is based on whatever amount of time you signed up for, as this time takes away from other players who might want to play.

  • Q: Do I need to be in good physical condition to play Free-Roam VR or Omni-Directional Treadmill based VR?

  • A: Both of our VR options involve walking and moving around, so a basic level of mobility is required. However, you don't need to be an athlete! If you have any concerns about your physical abilities, please contact us with questions (not medical advice) or seek medical advice from a medical professional. You agree to play VR at your own risk, and Game OVR - Ozarks VR LLC takes no responsibility for your medical condition when playing VR. Liability Waivers and Release are required before playing any VR sessions with us.
